Help support literacy education in your school, library, or other group by inviting a children's author to visit your school.

Large-Group Settings
Julie can speak to large groups of students about how an idea becomes a book or about the building blocks of a good story.

Coaching Smaller Groups of Students
As another option, Julie could work with middle grade students and coach them in their writing. In classrooms, or separated by grade level, the students and Julie could work together to improve writing and students' individual stories.

A Combination of Formats
Have Julie visit your school during the school day, and then invite students to return in the evening for a literacy event with Julie speaking to the parents and students.
